1 - You’re incredibly exhausted ( plus your sleep schedule is totally off and all over the place)
2 - You can go into a panic about anything at any moment even if you are not the panicky type
3 - You can struggle finding a new routine and sticking with it even if you have competing projects and no down time.

I still remember going LIVE on Instagram daily for the first year I was posting to develop an engaged community! It was so much fun live-streaming and interacting with everyone and sharing so much about our Lipedema journeys. When that all changed, I felt a sense of loss and disconnection. I had to take a step back and begin filming videos that really was not my forte because I’m not a performer. So, truthfully, I’ve mainly been filming as I can in small stolen snippets of time, quietly, while my family was doing something else in the background.

Now that my son is off to college and I have more time to myself, I am excited to be able to engage in a new way. To talk with you directly through the camera more or with voice overs (even some long form YouTube video are in production as we speak! (Plus, I think I am going to speak even further on this topic too in a longer video there.👏)

This is what JOYFUL Movement looks like in real life!

Day 2 of being up 3 hrs earlier than my circadian rhythm due to change in time zone, really stiff in the morning rolling right out of bed, not knowing the routine and how my body will react, worried that something may tweak causing a back step with mobility, realizing platform sneakers are NOT for Zumba class yet still getting in there and moving with SO MUCH JOY!!!

THIS IS LIVING!!! Doing what you can even when you are not sure of the outcome.

I wasn’t concerned about how I might look and though my sneakers may have not been the easiest to dance in, they sure looked cute👟

When you support each other from the beginning and always pick up where you left off when you come back together, you know you’ve got your girl💃🏻💃🏻

Just two girls who saved themselves, 22+ for me and 17+ years ago for @Yelena | 305lbs to 140lbs , with the help of Bariatric surgery, clean nutrition , exercise, glp1, mental health /mindset care and showing up everyday to manage our chronic conditions (obesity & Lipedema just to name two) [ Did you know that there are 108 comorbidities that go along with obesity?!😳]

SO happy I was able to take Yelena’s Zumba class 2 days in a row at the @Obesity Action Coalition 20th Anniversary Conference in Washington, DC since letting go of this 74 lbs of recurrence since Nov 2023.

I think I may have a renewed interest in getting into a regular Practice of attending @Zumba Fitness class!

So many SALES, so little time…lol

I don’t know about you but I LOVE a sale. Truthfully, in the past 2 weeks there have been so many SALES going on that I truly can’t keep track of it all. If I had really focused solely on getting all the great deals available, I would have never been able to keep focused on my health goals of staying active in the gym.

Instead, I made the gym my priority and hoped I gave you enough of a taste of some of my favorites to find some great deals for yourself with the content I’ve shared.

I am currently getting back to my smaller self and finding clothing pieces I used to love and cherish. I have kept some because for me once I find something that fits my non-traditional measurements, it is hard to let go cause I worked so hard to find it. Do you experience this too? These @athleta bottoms were a staple for me in 2022 when I worked with them as a local ambassador and these leggings were part of my spring #giftedcollab. The pattern comes through much stronger now and I love their inclusive sizing.

What’s your go to cardio and sunscreen??

I have passed my first of 6 months of “daily” cardio which ended up being actually 24 sessions so that my body could recover from some of the days it wasn’t feeling great. As a result, I am going to check in with my cardiologist to see if I can commit to 5 days per week for the next 5 months to allow for some recovery in the hotter weather. What do you think he will say?🤔
