“Once I get through this week my life will slow down”

FAMOUS. LAST. WORDS.

I catch myself thinking this all of the time, and somehow, I’m perpetually SHOCKED, when life does in fact NOT slow down.

I always feel like time is running out. I am always feeling behind.

Laundry? We will never be fully caught up for more than one day.

Dishes? The sink is always AT LEAST half full.

Toys? Definitely not put in their proper homes EVER but sometimes they are up off the floor… I will take that one as a win.

I have so many grand plans for things I want to do personally and stuff I want to do as a family but I find myself putting it off for when life slows down.

I’m working on this.

I’m trying to slow myself down, because time passes regardless of how many items are checked off of my to do list. The kids grow whether I want them to or not. But I can control me and how much I try to fit into any one given day.

This time of year is hard because I naturally get less done just by virtue of having less daylight. I simply don’t want to do ANYTHING when it is dark outside, and you know what? That’s okay. I will do what I can and save the rest for tomorrow because no matter how fast I clear my to do list, my life isn’t slowing down.

When Manny was in town Emily and I tried to pack the most fun into a short weekend!

Part of that was not constantly filming because living in the moment with your friends is SO important!

The evolution of my “class”

The first photo is after 12 hours of filming, editing, answering emails, writing and photographing.

The second photo was my 3rd to last video I filmed this day. (I fell WAY behind while sick and out of town)

The last photo was the outfit of the day” before the chaos began.

To those of you who clutched your pearls seeing me in photo one.

I’m laughing so hard.

Am I the only one on earth who unsnaps their bodysuit doesn’t tuck it back in grabs a snack and changes into pajamas?

I can’t help but notice how many people are concerned about how classless I’m coming off by showing the realistic end to my day after spending a full day playing catch up.

My shirt is stained
My bodysuit is unsnapped
My jeans are unbuttoned

This is real life.

I never claimed to be a perfectly polished, poised, put together person. In fact I am anything but!

So incase you are new here.

I share my real life. I show myself in my bikini. I show myself braless in my pjs with my hair a total mess while I fix breakfast for the kids. I show myself with my hair and makeup done. I show myself in crop tops and shorts.

My goal is never to portray a perfect life… my life is anything but perfect. I am a mess, I am a mom, I am showing my kids that you don’t have to be ashamed of ANY part of you… even the messy, not so classy parts.

I was supposed to be a stay at home mom.

I never intended that 2.5 years ago when I started posting my life online I would wind up at Meta HQ giving feedback on my experience as a creator.

But here I am.

Somehow I tricked millions of people into being invested in my weird little life. And I am not sure if you realize— I’m just a lady who doesn’t wanna cook and has to. I’m just a mom who is overwhelmed. I’m just a person who is continually trying to love herself as she is. And I wouldn’t be here without all of you.

Never in my wildest dreams could I have predicted that this is where I’d end up in this short time but I’m so glad to be here. I’m so glad to share my life with you. I am so proud of this community we have cultivated together, because this is a group project besties and without your support this isn’t possible.

Thank you for supporting this regular lady. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for changing the course of my life.

We’re creeping up on what feels like the official end of summer—one last hurrah before life turns into a blur of homework, extracurriculars, and weather that goes from brisk to bitter overnight.
If you haven’t worn the swimsuit yet—good news, you didn’t miss your chance. Labor Day weekend is coming and it is still summer. There will be pool parties, BBQs, and sunshine to soak up. Don’t roll into fall with regrets that you sat this one out.
To those of you who told me this was the first summer you felt confident enough to wear a swimsuit—I’m seriously applauding you. That’s huge. Putting on a swimsuit is scary and vulnerable, but I promise you’ll have more fun wearing something comfortable and weather-appropriate than hiding under a soaking wet t-shirt that clings tighter than a Dyson vacuum.
And listen—there’s no prize for being “early to the party.” Just because you didn’t start summer feeling confident doesn’t mean you missed out. Next year will feel 100 times less scary if you just try it once this year.

Happiness has no weight limit.
You deserve to smile. You deserve to take up space. You deserve to wear the cute clothes—yes, even the crop tops, bikinis, and sleeveless dresses—no matter what number is inside your jeans. For me, that number is 24.
Did I spend years wishing I was smaller? Absolutely. I grew up in the early 2000s, where thin wasn’t suggested, it was demanded if you wanted to be seen as valuable. And let me tell you, 2000s skinny was brutal. I couldn’t compete, so half the time I felt invisible. But did that stop me from wearing what I wanted? Nope.
Somehow I built this “I don’t care” armor, even though the world around me very much did care about size. And honestly, to hell with that. I’m worth more than a number in my jeans. I’m happier when I dress for myself, not for society’s approval. I don’t need to hide in baggy clothes or shrink myself into the background.
I’m not grotesque. I’m just a woman in her kitchen, feeling cute in a butter-yellow dress, asking her husband to snap a picture because this moment deserves to be remembered. And so do you.
Get in the pictures. Your future self will thank you. Because when I’m old and wrinkled like a prune someday(and I fully intend on living that long), I’ll be grateful to see this version of me smiling, dressed how I want, living my life on my terms.
Smiles are One Size Fits All.

This is 315 lbs. 5’6”. And guess what?

I’ve been plus-sized my entire life. As young as 10, people were already calling me “overweight.” And the world made sure I knew I was less than. Like I didn’t deserve to feel pretty, seen, wanted.

We’re taught we can be confident despite how we look—but never because of how we look.

I was the size 18 girl in high school wearing a bikini at the local beach. Why? Because I wanted to tan like my thin besties. Who, by the way, never made me feel less than. But the world? The world wasn’t so kind.
Boys didn’t call for me—they called to ask about my friends. Because why would they like this, right?
 Honestly? A blessing in disguise.
 Because the right person? They’ll see your worth without needing to squint or shrink you down.
