A good quality t-shirt is my number one wardrobe essential. They work on their own but also provide an ideal base layer under blazers and jackets all year round.

5 things I require of my t-shirts:

✔️ to be decent weight
✔️ to have some structure
✔️ to not cling to the body*
✔️ to not be too long in the body (because I’ll often want to tuck them)
✔️ to feel soft on the skin
✔️ to keep their shape wash after wash

Over the past few months I’ve been putting the COS clean cut regular t-shirt to the test and the report card is in: A+

A note on sizing. I’m wearing size L. Size M would fit me but I prefer a non-fitted fit to my tees. To find your perfect fit, get out a measuring tape and measure your bust and hips. It’s the small things really at this stage of the recovery game. Five weeks post surgery and yes, I’m going a little stir crazy. My current social life is limited to short walks and coffee catch ups with girlfriends.

Even without those catch ups, being intentional about what I wear each day has made a huge difference to my mental health by keeping some normalcy to my days.

Never met a striped top I didn’t love. This one’s gone viral in its many colour options and I get it. It’s oversized - including at the wrists and good value for the quality.

I’m in M with plenty of room - so do size down!

Jeans - my fave Henne style - I’m in 30. Could probably fit a 28 or 29 as this is a mid waist slouchy style.
