Easy winter sensory activity for toddlers ❄️🩵
This simple toddler sensory bin is perfect for practicing scooping, pouring, transferring, and fine motor skills. I set this up in about a minute using water, edible glitter, GloPals light-up cubes, plastic snowflakes, and winter pompoms.

On the other side, I added a ladle, strainer, drip cup, and toddler tweezers to encourage open-ended water play and hand-eye coordination. This is such an easy indoor toddler activity for cold winter days and kept my toddler engaged for a long time.

All the items used for this winter sensory table are linked here 🤍

Winter sensory bin for toddlers ❄️

I set up this winter sensory activity using our light box and sensory table to create a simple “igloo” building activity. I used reusable ice cubes and shaving cream so my toddler could stick the pieces together, then added snowflake glitter, blue and white pom poms, and winter animal toys for open-ended play.

This sensory bin encouraged fine motor skills, sensory exploration, and imaginative play — and kept my toddler engaged for 40 minutes, which is always a win. It’s a great indoor winter activity for toddlers and an easy sensory play idea you can reuse all season.

Linked everything I used for this toddler sensory bin and light box setup 🤍

Winter toddler activity using real snow ❄️
This easy snow cone sensory play is perfect for snow days at home. I brought snow inside, dyed it with food coloring, and set up a simple toddler snow cone station with ice cream scoops, snow cone cups, and our favorite learning resources scooper that makes the perfect snowballs.

This low-prep winter sensory activity for toddlers supports fine motor skills, color recognition, and pretend play while keeping little hands busy indoors.

We ditched the potato 🥔❄️
and honestly… this was WAY better!

Brought a little snow inside and used Mr. Potato Head pieces in it instead of the pots body — easier for little hands and a fun new way to use toys we already have!

Proof you can make almost anything winter themed ❄️

Save this one for your next snowy day!

Easy winter toddler activity ❄️🎨

This snow painting sensory activity took less than 5 minutes to set up and kept my toddler engaged for 45 minutes. I scooped snow into our sensory bin and added cups, food coloring, droppers, and paint brushes for simple color mixing and fine motor play.

A low-effort indoor winter activity that’s perfect for toddlers on cold days when you need something quick and engaging! If you don’t have snow, painting ice cubes would also work great!
