I love the way our Thanksgiving tablescape turned out🤎

I got these placemats custom-made at our local saddlery shop and will use them for many, many years to come. I look for pieces to add to my collection that I can mix and match with - the possibilities are endless!

On Thanksgiving eve we hosted a Mexican food dinner party for our guests. I pulled in our ranch placemats and napkins and added authentic Mexican pottery to fit the cuisine. I’ve been loving this terracotta color 😍

We had guests at the ranch this weekend and had these beautiful place settings made out of Mexican ceramic tiles. I made them with our whole family’s names to have on hand for dinners and events. The vinyls are removable to make it easy for special guests.
I like to add a personal touch to the tablescape with Polaroids of our guests to take home with them as a party favor - such a huge hit!

I grabbed these deer shed napkin rings to make our table feel a little more like fall - I love that they are a style that is not holiday specific. I also found these wonderful napkins with a red border and had them personalized to the ranch. These will be wonderful for Valentine’s Day and Fourth of July and also Christmas. Christmas is such a short season that I didn’t want to buy things that were too specifically of that season because I just won’t get enough use out of them. Everything I have tagged here is stuff that I use constantly year-round and love to pull out for hosting.

We love hosting at the ranch, especially for some of our favorite people who just got engaged! I set up a surprise happy hour on the mountain using staple pieces that I use often - I look for items that mix and match well and this came together beautifully.

We use these vaquero chairs all the time and they really make a statement. They come with a sling carry bag and are super light weight so they make for easy travel.

It’s taco night at Box Ranch🌮 I found this cowboy hat serving bowl and I had to have it. It adds a special touch to the dinner presentation, I get so many compliments on it. Last night we had two guests of honor and I pulled out our wool Aztec style placemats for dinner.
The denim napkins my friend Betsey gave me were a perfect color and texture to layer and then I added placecards t get the right seating chart.
We gave our guests son ranch Merch which you can see at their spots on the table.

Tonight we celebrated the engagement of some of our favorite people! I pulled out this gear that you have seen before - I use it all often.

One of the things I live most about this fold-flat table is the glass holders! Created for wine or champagne glasses, it actually holds them well and leaves room for snacks, phones and other gear.
I turned this wool Mexican placemat sideways to cover the umbrella hole and to create a visual place for our ice bucket.

I have been making dinner for our family and this week I decided to organize our menu by country. The Fourth of July was American night so I created chicken sandwiches on thin, sliced bread with provolone and avocado and then our guests dressed their sandwiches with tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, and condiments. I grabbed some Burger House seasoning for our sweet potato fries and gave the kids red and blue fruit for dessert.

Our table is set for the 4th of July! I combined some of my fried and true entertaining pieces with a few new patriotic finds to make this tablescape.
You will notice that I reuse a lot of my pieces- we have limited storage (as does everyone) and I always show you what we are really doing in our real lives. I like to collect pieces that mix and match to delight dinner guests and look fresh while not taking up too much space.

Here is a closer look at our dining table for the 4th of July. Baxter will be running that morning and so I wanted to make the evening a celebration for him. The theme is patriotic and I’ll add some printed photos of him from the day to make the table more personalized.

I cooked again tonight from the Easy Fancy Food cookbook and it was a hit! I was shoacked that Baxter actually loved the corn and especially the carrots! I made some butter pasta with cherry tomatoes and freshly shaved parm for the kids- always need a backup plan!

I ordered this folding pin table to have on hand during parties and we used it this weekend for my dads birthday. It was an adorable pop up bar and kept guests out of the kitchen while the food was being prepared. I put a second one outside on the porch which helped keep the party spaced.
These items are nice and sturdy and I use them for every event. They also make for incredible gifts.
The tequila has no additives and is one of the cleanest on the market.

For my dads birthday dinner we served tenderloin in this big dough bowl you see here. It’s a gorgeous way to serve it family style and dough bowls also make for great decorative items.
Reminder these are my remote-controlled candles and they are safe and so convenient! I get the remote and just click on and off and they are ready to go.

I wanted to give you another look at our breakfast table this morning. I made various types of toasts to suit different tastes.
You can see the rechargeable lamps that I like to use - there is one at each place setting.
I’ve been reading cookbooks and looking at food styling and as with all tabletops you want to add some height so you can see I stacked a wooden stool on the cutting board to display the food.

I set the breakfast bar with some new items today to make our Tuesday a little more exciting. I snagged these napkins about a month ago (also bought the matching tablecloth) and am using them as small placemats. Our bar has to fit four children so smaller placemats work better than full sized.
These plates are last season Dondolo and are no longer sold so I found you some similar options. I love the color blue so I am a sucker for styles like this.
This is the new silverware that I unboxed for you. It is hand wash only so I use it for myself or for small meals. It is heavy and gorgeous and easy for children to grip on to. It also makes such a statement on the table.
These are the rattan glasses we always use and they are easy for everyone to grip and they also collect sweat- so save your tabletops! I use the pitcher too which helps everyone drink way more water.
Lastly, each place got a rechargeable LED lamp. It makes each place setting look more special and the light really makes the food shine. I use these indoor and outdoor and even for extra light in dim spots of my kitchen. I got the Amazon ones but there is a designer version I tagged for you as well.

Tonight I set up a taco bar for dinner. My new candlesticks and remote tappers totally made the scene!
